Two Way Radios for Golf Courses

Best Radios for Golf Courses

Timely communication is the key to efficiency and great customer service. It's essential for golf course staff to communicate, but they are often spread out over wide areas.  Management must speak with fairway groundskeepers and other managers. Clubhouse staff need to talk with management. Irrigation personnel, caddies, pro shop staff, restaurant personnel, maintenance staff, and parking attendants all need to communicate with each other. Two-way radios allow your entire staff to communicate instantly and seamlessly, both with management and between departments.

Generally, we recommend UHF radios for golf courses.  This is because UHF radios perform well both indoors and out, so your entire staff can use them.  However, if you will mainly be using your two-way radios outdoors, then we recommend VHF radios, as they will provide longer range when used outdoors.

We always recommend 4 or 5 watt radios to provide the longest communication range possible to cover your entire course.  In a few situations, if your course is very large, repeaters may be necessary for complete coverage.
