Return Policy

Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Returns cannot be accepted for the following:

  1. Merchandise modified at customers request cannot be returned or canceled.   Any changes made (such as radios with software changes or radio programming, alignments, tuning, accessory installation, electronic, physical or mechanical alterations, specification changes, or any other changes) to merchandise at customers’ request make that item non-returnable.
  2. Software, once the order has processed cannot be cancelled or returned.

 

Please read the specific terms detailed below related to each type of return. 

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order recently made, please call or e-mail us with your order number. If the order has not shipped, and provided the product has not been modified in any way, we will honor your request. We cannot cancel an order that has already shipped. If your order has already shipped please follow the instructions in the section titled ‘Return of Non-Defective Products’ to receive a refund. Once a product has shipped a 20% restocking fee will apply.

If your item is back-ordered we will send you an e-mail with the estimated shipping date. If you decide not to wait you may choose a different product, or cancel your order.

 

Refused Shipments

Refused shipments will be assessed a 20% restocking fee. If the product has been modified at the customer’s request the customer cannot refuse shipment or return the product.

 

Damaged Parcels

If a parcel arrives in a damaged condition, refuse to accept it. It will be returned to us. Report the problem to us within 48 hours. We will file a claim with the carrier and send a replacement to you. 

If you discover concealed shipping damage once you have accepted delivery:

  1. Call the carrier (Fedex or UPS) immediately for an inspection.
  2. Hold on to all original packing, boxing, cartons, etc.
  3. The carrier will inform you what to do.

 

Missing or Incorrect Items

If there are problems with a shipment you have received, such as missing or incorrect items, you must report the problem to us within 48 hours of receipt.

For incorrect items please follow the steps below to return them;

  1. Do not open the product packaging and do not discard the shipping box or any packing materials.
  2. Complete the on-line Product Returns Form to request an RMA number within 48 hours of receiving your shipment.
  3. Returns made without an RMA number will not be accepted.
  4. We will send you an RMA # and instructions for your return, along with a request for our carrier to pickup the return package. Do not ship the package back without following our instructions. Any returns that you ship back on your own, and are lost or damaged, will be your responsibility.
  5. The RMA # MUST be clearly written on the exterior shipping box for us to identify your return.
  6. All returns must be received within 30 days from when it was originally shipped.
  7. All items included with the original shipment must be returned in the original packaging (radios, accessories, cords, manuals, original packaging, etc.). Partial returns will not be accepted.
  8. Upon receipt and verification processing, a replacement product will be shipped via Ground delivery to you (usually shipped within 7 business days from receipt of returned product).
  9. Items showing abuse, tampering, or water damage cannot be returned. If the product is judged to show abuse or water damage when it is received, it will be returned to you and you will be charged the return shipping and handling costs.

 

 

Product Returns Within 30 Days

A Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returns.  Merchandise returned without an RMA # will not be accepted.

 

Returns Due to Defect

If a defect is discovered within 30 days of the ship date please follow the instructions below.  For defects discovered after 30 days see the 'Product Warranty' section below.   Items showing abuse, tampering, or water damage cannot be returned.

  2. Complete the on-line Product Returns Form to request an RMA number.
  3. We will send you an RMA # and instructions for your return, along with a request for our carrier to pickup the return package.
  4. Do not ship the package back without following our instructions. Any returns that you ship back on your own, and are lost or damaged, will be your responsibility.

Return of Non-Defective Products

Quality Two-Way Radios offers you a return period effective for 30 days beginning on the date the original product was shipped.  There is a 20% restocking fee applied.   This policy applies only to products that have not been modified at the customer’s request and are in ‘new unopened’ condition. Any changes made (such as software changes, radio programming, alignments, tuning, accessory installation, electronic, physical or mechanical alterations, specification changes, or any other changes) to merchandise at customers’ request make that item non-returnable. Items showing abuse, tampering, or water damage cannot be returned.

If you receive a product and decide you no longer want it, you may return it under the following conditions:

  1. It is returned and received by us within 30 days of the original ship date.
  2. The product has not been modified in any way (such as software changes, radio programming, alignments, tuning, installation of optional boards, etc.)
  3. The product and all accessories must be received in ‘new unopened’ and unmodified condition. Headsets and eartips must also be returned in unopened packages.
  4. All items included with the original shipment must be returned in the original packaging (radios, accessories, cords, manuals, original packaging, etc.). Partial returns will not be accepted.
  5. The original product packaging must be free of damage or markings of any kind (except RMA # written on exterior shipping box).

 

To process your return;

  1. Returns made without an RMA number will not be accepted.
  2. Complete the on-line Product Returns Form to request an RMA number.
  3. The RMA # MUST be clearly written on the exterior shipping box for us to identify your return.
  4. You are responsible for return shipping costs. For your protection, please use Insured UPS, or Fedex with tracking numbers. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged shipments.
  5. You will be assessed a 20% restocking fee.
  6. Upon receipt the return condition will be verified. If the product is not judged to be “new unopened” when it is received, it will be returned to you and you will be charged the return shipping and handling costs.
  7. A refund, minus the original shipping and handling charges and restocking fee, will be made by crediting the credit account number used for the original purchase once the return has been verified. It may take up 2 weeks for RMA processing and credits to appear on your account.

 

Product Warranty  After 30 Days

Defects discovered after 30 days are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty and will be either repaired or replaced at the manufacturer’s discretion.  For repairs of in-warranty products after 30 days from purchase please contact the manufacturer.
