ICOM F1000 | F2000 At-A-Glance

Icom's new addition to their Land Mobile line-up, the IC-F1000 (VHF) & IC-F2000 (UHF) has superior water-tight protection.  With an IP rating of IP67 this radio can withstand 1m depth of water for 30 minutes.  It's dust-tight construction prevents the intrusion of powder dust, sand, mud and anything else you can throw at it!  The supplied waterproof Li-Ion battery pack, BP-279WP provides approximately 14 hours of operating time under normal usage.  The battery has been designed for reliability in extremely cold environments.

The large 36mm speaker provides a full 1.5 watts of clear audio, making it the market leader. The built-in BTL amplifier doubles the audio output power and delivers loud and intelligible voice to a radio operator working in noisy environments.

With the Channel Announce feature when you rotate the channel knob, the radio announces the channel number. Convenient for making radio adjustments without having to look at the radio.

ICOM F1000 | F2000 Signaling Features

The IC-F1000 / F2000 has built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signaling capabilities for group communication, or selective calling.

ICOM F1000 | F2000 Lone Worker & Emergency

The Lone Worker function activates when the radio is not operated for a preset period, the radio sounds beeps and requires the user to push any button to reset.  If the radio is not operated for a preset time, an emergency signal is automatically transmitted to inform co-workers that something may have happened to the individual worker.   The Emergency function is activated with the press  of a single red button located on the top panel, used to transmit an emergency signal.

A new built-in motion sensor in the IC-F1000 series can detect its position, state of motion and non-motion, and can send an emergency signal. The motion function detects if the transceiver is moving or shaking, for example, during a chase.

ICOM F1000 | F2000 Surveillance Function

When this function is turned ON, the beep is not heard and the back-light and the LED indicator do not light, even when a signal is received, or a key is pushed.

Radio Programming Options

The following does not apply to FRS, MURS, GMRS, LTE, Satellite, or IP radios.

Most business radios aren't ready to use out-of-the-box. So radio programming is needed to set the frequencies in the radio. For some radios the frequencies can be set through a menu interface. While other radios must be programmed using a PC, radio software, and a cable to connect the radios.

Here are your programming options:

  1. We can program your radios - with radio orders
    • We provide basic radio programming for radios ordered through us. See the description below of basic radio programming.
    • Email us your Frequencies & Call Sign - the FCC requires dealers to verify your license before we program.
    • Please allow 1-2 days for first-time setup of radio programming.
    • Due to staffing limitations, we are not able to program radios purchased from other dealers.
  2. Match to your Previous Order
    • If you've ordered from us before we have your information stored.
  3. You can program the radio(s)
    • Connect Systems (all models): You can purchase software and cables from us.
    • Kenwood ProTalk Business Radios (NX-P1300/NX-P1200 series, TK series, PKT)
      • Have pre-stored frequencies and you can easily program these radios through the radio's menu interface.
      • Custom frequencies will require dealer programming.
    • Icom (all models): Icom no longer allows dealers to sell software and cables over the internet. You may call us to discuss your options.
    • Motorola Business Radios (models beginning with CLP. CLS, RM, RD):
      • Have pre-stored business frequencies (Part 90). Software to program these radios is available on the Motorola website.
      • Just go to the product page on Motorola's website and you can download it for free. We can sell you the cable.
      • Custom frequencies will require dealer programming.
    • Motorola Commercial Radios (models beginning with CP, CM, MagOne):
      • Software to program these can be purchased directly from Motorola. We can sell you the cable.
    • Vertex Standard Radios:  You can purchase software and cables from us. (some cables have been discontinued)
  4. If you don't have a FCC license we can help you apply for one.
    • These licenses are for businesses, non-profit organizations, local and state government agencies.
    • We do all the work! Give us a call at 855-289-2929.
